Things you have to do to be Happy

You should know that making yourself happy is not easy as you think. You have to work on things and get rid of things. You have to be patient and not to rush. It will take time and it’s not going to happen in two or three days. So here are some things you should work on to make yourself happy.

Fight Procrastination

I said ‘’fight’’ because it’s really a battle; it’s not easy at all to get rid of procrastination completely. And I think that there will be always some procrastination in our life. But there is a difference between 100 % and 3 – 4 % of procrastination. Be sure that nothing could harm you like this disease. It’s so malignant and the progress so slow and comes with so bad results. So you should really be aware of this disease and try to eliminate it as soon as possible. In utopia there must be no procrastination, and since we live in the real life we must try to keep the procrastination at the minimal level in order to keep our life at the level we want.

And there are many reasons for procrastination we will have a look at them.

1 – Fear of the outcome

Sometimes we’re afraid we’ll fail.  Sometimes we’re subconsciously afraid we’ll succeed and then we’d have to deal with all the disruption (growth) and change that follows success.  And other times it’s our fear of rejection or simply our fear of looking like a fool if we fail.

But in real life you have to learn something very important: when you do something you are in front of two ways:

1st you do it > you succeed or you fail.

2nd you don’t do it > you fail.

So if we look at it from a mathematical point of view it will be better to do it. And not even that, the fail in 1 is not the same of the fail in 2. Cause the 1st fail comes with some experience and teaches you a new lessons so you can succeed next time you try, but the 2nd fail comes with nothing.

Have a look:

You give it a try 1 outcome and 1 experience. 0 outcomes and 1 experience.
1+1 = 2 0+1 = 1
You don’t try 0 outcomes and 0 experiences. 0+0 = 0

So no matter how big your next step is, GO ON. And before we continue don’t ever say that ‘’I don’t have enough experience or enough training for this step of my life so I have to train more’’ and you procrastinate it! Don’t fool yourself like that, as we said if you fail you will learn and if you didn’t try you will not learn and next time you will fail again.

2 – Laziness

It’s natural, but it’s not to let it control your daily life. “I have to do this,” we think to ourselves.  “But I don’t have to do it now.” To conquer this bad habit think of these two points:

1st if you didn’t do it now you have to do it later, but later you have another things to do, so you  will have to jobs to do at the same time and that will affect the quality of the outcomes.

2nd if you didn’t do what you have to do now, what would you do? Will you do something useful, probably NO. So don’t waste time! And do ‘’what you have to do now’’ now.

And a very good advice that helps a lot to get rid of this is rewarding yourself. It’s very useful way to keep yourself on the way. And it’s funny too but 100% effective. Try it 😉

Lack of motivation could really affect your daily activities so always keep in mind that you will reward yourself even if others didn’t. I used to go and eat at a popular restaurant after each exam. It’s very nice interesting and motivating.

3 – Not knowing where or how to start

Or maybe the task just looms in front of you as a big block, like a building with no doors.  You walk around its perimeter and you don’t immediately see a way in.  How do you get in?  Where do you begin?  You can’t figure it out, so you set the task aside.

Every time you face a new challenge you will have this problem. But it’s a good thing that every job has a start point and an end point. So think about them and it’s easy to discover those two points, so start with what you can and things will show themselves soon. You don’t have to know the entire HOW, you just need the first step, not the whole stairs. Imagine a car at night going from a city to another, this car can light up just the next 100 meter to you, though you can drive hundreds of kilometers with this 100 meter of light. So since you know What you want, the HOW will show itself to you.

Once something has a beginning and an end, it’s a lot easier to start seeing the middle.  And usually you can work from both ends until you meet in the middle.

Therefore don’t give up.  Uncover the starting and ending points and start filling in the blanks one at a time.

4 – Perfectionism

We talked about this point, sometimes we don’t go to the next challenge ‘cause we think that our current level of skill is not enough, so we procrastinate as we think we will work on our skill and improve them. But guess what! We wouldn’t improve our skill unless we didn’t make mistakes, and we can’t make mistakes if we didn’t try. So no real advantage by procrastination.

And guess what else, there is a lot of other ideas and options will show up when you try and start you mission. And they won’t show up if you procrastinate.

Conclusion

By taking the time and initiative to understand your own reasons for procrastinating, and devoting a little energy to take the necessary steps to move forward, you can beat procrastination.  We all can.

In fact, simply writing this article was a testament to this.  I kept procrastinating on writing it because I lacked focus.  So I locked myself in my den, eliminated all distractions, kept the end in mind and started writing.  And as usual, starting was the hardest part.  Now I’m done. And you are done reading it 😉

Make Yourself Happy

You definitely want, as I, to make yourself happy as much as you can, who don’t?!

Here are some steps that helped me, and will help you to be happy if you just apply them seriously in your everyday life.

First: No Need to Rush

I want you to know that making yourself happy, and spread joy and delight all over around, is so easy if you just give yourself some time. It’s not gonna happen in one day, at least you will need week to start feeling that you change something in your life and in a few weeks to be certain that your life is on the way to be more beautiful, as long as you commit to continue this plan of changing your life to the better.

So just be patient, and don’t bustle about that. Everything in this world happens slowly, the dawn, the sunrise, the sunset, the plants, and every single movement you see around you takes its time. If you plant a seed would you set and watch it till it grow bigger and bigger? Or do you expect it the next day to be a beautiful flower. Remember when you were an embryo in your mother womb. You take nine months to give your parent that beautiful smile. So why now you want everything to happen in a few days! Why you work today and want to get the results on the next day? Give yourself the time and stay commitment to change your life, and you will be just great in no time J

And be sure that the more time you spend on upgrading your life, the more beautiful it will be. Great sculpture take more time than you can imagine, and the more time you spend on it, adding more details to it, the more fascinating it will be. And people think that those artists have special gifts!!! It’s all about time and patience.

Second: Determine What You Want of Your Life

No car can go to the unknown. And no one wants to be that person who just live for nothing, and spend his life just wasting his abilities and power doing nothing. It’s not good to live your life without headlines of what you want from yourself, and a CLEAR plan to walk on. Don’t let the flow guide you. Fly away of the flock and be whatever you want to be. I’m not gonna talk about that so much now cause I’ll go into the details later, but for now, set and think about your future, just see where you want to go, what you want to achieve, what you want to be.

Third: Commitment Makes the Impossible Possible

Everything is possible. That’s a fact. So why we sometimes fail to do something and we said “it’s impossible!” or at least “I can’t do it!” Why we sometimes try over and over and yet we fail. Is it that we don’t have what it takes to succeed or we are trying to do impossible things?

The answer is Commitment. When you work on something, and want it to be done, all you need is commitment. Did you start a diet and failed to lose those extra pounds? Did you tried to quit smoking and you failed soon? Did you start a daily sport activity and stop it after some days? We all do and the reason we stop or fail is about commitment. When you don’t have enough dose of commitment you will quit in no time. And you will not finish what you start. And then you will think it’s impossible or you don’t have what it takes to do it. And you think people who make what had done what you couldn’t genius or so lucky!

So you should know that’s it’s all about commitment. You will not achieve great things in your life without commitment and patience. Make a commitment to yourself that you will do what you can to make your life better and better. And remember that “Commitment = Success. No Commitment = Fail”.

4th: Step by Step

You want to change your life, well we all want. But you should know that this Big Move will not happen in one day and it will not be done in one step. There is no magic wand to make your life upside down in one move. When you “REALLY” want to make a difference in your life you should know that it will take a lot of effort of you. You will have to put a plan, and schedule and work on it step by step. And this strategy “Step by Step” guarantee a lot of thing to you: you will enjoy the whole thing, you will not quit cause you will not feel bored since you do small steps every day not the whole thing in one weekend, you will have a lot of faith in yourself as you get close to achieve what you want and the most important thing is that you will Succeed. So however big was your dream, you can make it if you do it step by step.

How to forget about the past

Sometimes in life, some moments seems to be so hard, you can pass through a bad experience, you don’t know what you have to do and you’ll be so frustrated that you can even lose believing in yourself, you want to let go and forget but it became harder to get over it…

I believe that living in this situation make the person unable to think, figuring out a solution is more difficult but I also believe that that could be easier if you take it as a lesson,

Of course you’ll want to forget about all the pain that this situation caused to you, so at first, you have to forgive, forgive yourself despite the mistakes, forget about the mistakes that you’ve made and just say that Allah wanted you to learn some lesson from it, so you could build your own personality, but you don’t want to learn the same lesson twice, so don’t repeat those mistakes again, you have to thank Allah, and just remember that you don’t want to live that pain again, forgive the people around you, even if they were not nice to you, and thank whom were there for you and shared your pain trying to make you feel better those persons are your real friends, so a hard situation help you find real friends and like we say “a friend in need is a friend indeed “

Second a problem like this makes you think about who are you and what you want to do with your life, it shows you that your life need your courage to survive in it, and you did pass a hard moment, and you still alive so you are a hero, never forget that you are the hero of your own life story, so you have to build your own personality and look at yourself in the mirror with so much pride and self-confidence, that will bring joy and happiness in your life everyday and that will help you forget the bad days you passed, be strong and everything will work out naturally,

You should never have regrets, not even one, and be happy, always be happy, believe in yourself, nothing is perfect, and life has bad, moments and good ones, but you should know that: the bad moments help you taste the good ones, well, my best friend told me once, in school we take exams after learning the lessons while in life you learn lessons after taking exams, so we have to believe that a bad situation is a hard exam, but you should take it anyway, cause the lesson you’ll learn is so much important, fill your life with joy, and smiles, just be happy…

The Will of Change

We all look to change ourselves to the best, and we all want to live a happy and a beautiful life, but what we really need to do what we want to get, what we wish is the WILL of change. You might read a book or listen to that talk about changing our life to what we want. And you may think it’s so easy, and all you need is a simple plan and some time to do it. Well, fortunately it’s really easy to change your life, and a simple plan and some time is all you need to do it, but what you must have to reach that beautiful goal; CHANGING, is the will, a great will that makes you walk on the way of a successful change in your life. And you may ask; how you can get this will?

At the beginning I seek for this will in everywhere around me, I seek it in my family, friends, environment and my near world, and it really works. These sources could give you a great will to change yourself to the better, and I really get that will from these sources. But, I’ve always had one problem with the change I’ve done; it had always been temporary, I had never got a continuous change, the lifelong change I wish. I thought a lot about this problem, what was going wrong, why I always get a short change, why it doesn’t last, all these questions I have in my mind lead me to the main cause of the problem, the will, and that lead me to the problem, it’s in the source of my will of change. Those sources gave me the will I need to change, but since they weren’t around me all the time, the will they gave me were not continuous, it was just when I’m close to these sources. So I have to find an ultimate source of the will I need to change. And I’ve found the best one, Me; yourself is the best source of the will you’ll need to change, it’s always there for you, and it can last forever as long as you want to change yourself to the better. So don’t look so far for something you have inside. Just seek in yourself for the reasons you want to change yourself for, why you want that change. That will lead you to the resources that we talked about at the beginning, but this time it’ll come from your soul?, and that’s better, because it will last for ever.

Don’t forget that, seek for the will of change in yourself, deep down in your heart, and don’t look far away for something you already have inside…
